We need our reps to be independent stewards of our will, not the machines’. Only in this way are Congressmen able to do what’s right.

As voters, we should make it a habit to elect representatives who are not afraid to buck their party leaders.

Still Dems persist in condescending to voters, telling us we’ll love their programs once we get used to the idea. Unfortunately, we don’t.

As a party, the Democrats have never been able to accept that most Americans simply want Washington D.C. to leave us alone.
