Iran: Leaning Toward Democracy?

Is the time ripe for Iran to re-open itself to the west or even become a democracy? Some people think so. Read a story about one man defying death to make it happen.

It’s been obvious for some time that the religious power-brokers in Iran have little to no interest in the will of the people. This is to be expected. What is the proper role of the U.S.?

That depends who you ask. The Wall Street Journal thinks we should help the pro-democracy groups gain power. They also have an interesting take on Jimmy Carter’s role in the Iran fiasco of the late 1970s.
