“Getting Out” the Vote

This’ll discourage ’em:

In Louisville, poll worker Jeffery Steitz was arrested and charged with assault and interfering with an election for allegedly choking a voter and pushing him out the door after the man said that he didn’t want to vote in a judicial election because he didn’t know enough about the candidates.

Lt. Col. Carl Yates of the Jefferson County sheriff’s office says that, “The poor guy went back in and he threw him out again.  At least it wasn’t over a Democrat or a Republican being on the ballot.”

This is the worst possible voting offense – people who didn’t know what they’re voting for should be encouraged not to vote!
