The fundamental tenets of the Christian faith are that Jesus was God’s son and that he rose from the dead after being crucified near Jerusalem when he was about 30 years old. My wish for today is that you’d seriously consider the matter. Happy Easter!

Culture War Far From Over
The culture war is over? Oh, no it’s not. There’s much more to come. Some important battles have been lost; however, the will and the need to carry on is still strong in America’s Christians.
Liberal Tea Party Protest Fails to Boil
![]()
Ed Frank went to the New Way Forward rally and reports that only a dozen or so people attended the left’s answer to conservatives’ “tea parties” that have turned out tens of thousands of people protesting against Barack Obama’s massive deficit spending plan. FDL’s Jane Hamsher was there as promised, though. In a bizarre turn, she accused conservativess of being angry at not being the ones to steal now – interesting word choice, no? – and accused Fox News of organizing the real tea parties. Bizarre.

That’s what the AP will find out if they keep going down the road they’re going.
Government Taxation vs. Charity
Economist Dr. Arnold Kling made a short, sweet distinction between government taxation/wealth redistribution and charity, saying “if you want to tax me in order to give my money to charity, that does not make you generous.” This fact is lost on the editors of the NY Times, who bemoaned a cut in estate taxes for the wealthiest American families.
Denmark’s ex-Leader to Kowtow to Islamofacists
Michael van der Gailen reports that Denmark’s just-resigned Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen will publicly apologize to the Islamic world because Danish newspapers printed what have become known as the infamous Mohammed cartoons. If true, the reports are the latest in a long string of unfortunate moral failures on the part of European leaders in…
Iraqi Gays Murdered By Their Own Tribe
The latest news about the repression of homosexuality in the Islamic world comes from Iraq where 6 gay men were murdered by members of their own tribe after members decided in a group meeting to kill them. For all the hand-wringing about alleged repression of homosexuals in the U.S. and other western nations, this news,…
