After hundreds of thousands of Americans protested his economic policies, Barack Obama batted 1.000 today by releasing the disputed Office of Legal Counsel memos authorizing the use of tortue on captured terrorists, declaring that intelligence officers responsible for the interrogations would not be prosecuted, and announcing that the U.S. will focus on enforcing existing gun smuggling laws rather than re-instituting the lapsed assault weapons ban.

What do you get when you mix a major economic slump, a new president with decidedly liberal ideals, an economic plan that calls for unprecedented levels of spending and debt, and at least 4000 Texans concerned about the situation?  Call it a Texas Tea Party!

Like the men on the scene, President Obama deserves kudos for the successful military operation that resulted in the rescue of kidnapped America Captain Richard Phillips. His guys kicked some ass getting Phillips back and the guy in the big chair in D.C. deserves credit for it.

james dobsonThe culture war is over? Oh, no it’s not. There’s much more to come. Some important battles have been lost; however, the will and the need to carry on is still strong in America’s Christians.

Liberal Tea Party Protest Fails to Boil

Posted on April 11, 2009 by marc

Ed Frank went to the New Way Forward rally and reports that only a dozen or so people attended the left’s answer to conservatives’ “tea parties” that have turned out tens of thousands of people protesting against Barack Obama’s massive deficit spending plan. FDL’s Jane Hamsher was there as promised, though. In a bizarre turn, she accused conservativess of being angry at not being the ones to steal now – interesting word choice, no? – and accused Fox News of organizing the real tea parties. Bizarre.

Nour Hadid beat 2-year-old niece to death over a period of 4 days after her husband accused Nour of stealing from him. Sadly the little girl’s death doesn’t seem to be what’s important to her husband, Alaeddin Hadid who is planning to sue because his wife’s picture was taken as part of being booked on murder charges.

Arizona State Right to Diss Obama

Arizona State University is not planning to award Barack Obama an honorary doctorate degree in exchange for giving the commencement address at the school – and rightly so. At this point Mr. Obama’s resume is paper-thin, too much so for the office he already holds.

A Picture Worth 1000 Words

President Obama’s bow to Saudi royalty wasn’t befitting of the President of the United States. It was, however, an acknowledgement of reality. The U.S. operates on their oil, a fact that we need to change sooner rather than later.
